Our same day AHCMOM208 – Conduct Excavator Operations course equips participants with the skills and knowledge required to safely operate an excavator in agricultural, land management, and rural infrastructure environments.

Participants will learn how to plan and prepare work, select and use appropriate PPE, conduct pre-start, start-up and shutdown procedures, identify farm and workplace hazards and apply controls, interpret work instructions, and operate an excavator to carry out tasks such as digging trenches, bulk earthmoving, loading and unloading materials, backfilling, site levelling, and working around structures, trees, and farm infrastructure. Training also includes safe use of attachments, working on uneven or sloping terrain, routine maintenance, and housekeeping in accordance with workplace procedures and manufacturer requirements.
