Entry Requirement

  • CPCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry or equivalent and;

  • Valid Photo ID.

The student requires a placement with an approved traffic management company to achieve the practical outcomes of the course, please contact us if you are unable to arrange this so we can assist.

Course Description TTM (Temporary traffic management)

Category 1 Roads - is inclusive of single carriageway roads with a posted speed limit of:

  • less than 60 km/h where the Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) is less than 10,000, or

  • 110 km/h or less where the AADT is less than 3,000.

TMI1 (Traffic Management Implementer) – Urban and Low-Volume Rural Roads
This is a 2-day program comprising both practical and theory components.

On Completion the Student will obtain the following Skillsets and Units of Competency

RIISS00060

  • RIICOM201E – Communicate in the workplace

  • RIIRIS301E - Apply risk management processes

  • RIIWHS302E - Implement traffic management plans

  • RIIWHS303 - Position, set up and program portable traffic control devices.

Successful persons will be issued with a temporary card, and be eligible for the SA Department of Infrastructure and Transport traffic management card for CAT 1 Roads
